I’m a mathematician, not a shark scientist by any stretch of the imagination, and my understanding of the issues covered in the collected papers is coloured by and limited by my background and particular interests. I hope I have not misrepresented any of the research – my aim was to document the particular things that caught my interest when going through the book.
