New motors for Seahorse

Sometimes bad things happen to good people, and it was thus one day recently when Seahorse‘s port motor blew up while we were on the way to dive with the sevengill cowsharks. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I managed to locate a pair of Mariner 90 hp engines of more recent vintage than the pair of Mercury 90s that were already on Seahorse.

We had them fitted last week, and the boat is behaving very nicely. Since the motors are newer, she’s very responsive. I’m also very happy to have a spare motor, as well as the broken one which I am stripping for parts.
